Today, I pop my blog cherry.

The photo is the train bridge in Dubuque. I took a boat tour of the Mississippi with my friend AK last fall and this is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. I like the way the water glimmers just a little.

Each winter, from late January through March, bald eagles migrate to the area. They are gone now, but earlier this month they perched on the trees next to river and dove off the branches to nab fish out of the river. It is an amazing site that makes me feel thankful to live here.

About Restless Cube Dweller

Most of my adult life has been defined finding homes in unconventional places, and learning to interact positively with others. I've lived in the middle of nowhere, in small cities, in large cities, in the suburbs, and now in Dubuque, Iowa. This blog represents my musings about growing up, moving on, finding love, and eating well in the suburbs and beyond.
