As simple as writing a poem

I have been asked to write a poem to be placed on a program for my grandpa’s funeral.

I feel numb, exhausted, weepy, and now I am supposed to write coherantly.

I only hope to do his life justice.

About Restless Cube Dweller

Most of my adult life has been defined finding homes in unconventional places, and learning to interact positively with others. I've lived in the middle of nowhere, in small cities, in large cities, in the suburbs, and now in Dubuque, Iowa. This blog represents my musings about growing up, moving on, finding love, and eating well in the suburbs and beyond.

I’m really sorry for this loss.

I can imagine that this task brings enormous pressure. But as his granddaughter, you couldn’t write something he wouldn’t love; I’m sure of that.
