Saturday evening from a picnic table…

I am sitting on a lone picnic table in Cooper Park tonight. Most of the cool people are on the river or camping in one of the parks around here; I am happy here in this little neglected park. I spent my morning at the Dubuque Farmer’s Market buying milk, spinach, rhubarb, onions, and radishes; which I have been cooking with for the rest of the day. After chopping, melting, stirring, and baking all day; my demons are exercised; I am at peace. Vonnegut once said that semi-colons are for slackers, but screw it; I’m feeling lazy.
