Asian Gourmet wooed me from my cubicle this afternoon. I knew my frozen meal was waiting for me, but I also knew my nagging craving for coconut curry would not rest.
I caved and compromised by having the lunch buffet, which I usually avoid because of my past bad experiences with Asian buffets. Even though it wasn’t as good as the pad thai with shrimp (medium spice of course), it was still excellent. Here’s what I had:
Vegetable Lo Mein-simple noodles mixed with sliced carrots, green onions, cabbage, and a light oil. It’s really good with Lien’s homeade sweet and sour sauce.
Masaman Beef Thai- Oh, holy god-sliced beef, onions, and potatoes drenched in coconut curry sauce and chopped peanuts. A huge WW point deduction, but completely worth the splurge.
Green Beans and Tofu with Black Bean Sauce-I wasn’t planning on getting this until the notorious owner, Lien, told me it was good and plunked some on my plate. Not my favorite, but still pretty damn delicious.
