For weeks I’ve been slowly driving by this little ice cream stand, squinting to see if anyone is inside enjoying those first decadent bites of homemade ice cream.

On Sunday it was finally open and there was a line inside.

I have you now, but I know that you will just leave me again in the fall.

Bittersweet love.

I'll never forget how you left me last time.

About Restless Cube Dweller

Most of my adult life has been defined finding homes in unconventional places, and learning to interact positively with others. I've lived in the middle of nowhere, in small cities, in large cities, in the suburbs, and now in Dubuque, Iowa. This blog represents my musings about growing up, moving on, finding love, and eating well in the suburbs and beyond.

Just got caught up on your posts. Your last meal is fantastic; is it weird that I am jealous of your last meal?

    Love the new digs!

Thanks, it’s not weird at all! I was jealous of almost every meal in that “Last Supper” book! Most of them were much more complicated than mine.

I’m glad you’ve come up for air after all that grading and end-of-semester nonsense!
