Wong’s Chop Suey

NM finally convinced me to try Wong’s Chop Suey last night. I’m not one to shirk from weird sounding restaurants with strange advertisements that blare “FREE PARKING IN THE REAR” with goofy-ass pandas skipping about, but this little place creeps me out a bit. The name itself and its old strip mall location just seem kind of sad.

The good news is that it was closed on Monday.

In other news, we’re adjusting to our new surroundings pretty well. The apartment is comfortable, clean, and quiet. I have to say I miss the character of my Dubuque apartment, but it’s amazing how much easier life is with a washer/dryer combo and the light in the morning is fantastic! George (my plant) and Scotty (his plant) have never looked better.

About Restless Cube Dweller

Most of my adult life has been defined finding homes in unconventional places, and learning to interact positively with others. I've lived in the middle of nowhere, in small cities, in large cities, in the suburbs, and now in Dubuque, Iowa. This blog represents my musings about growing up, moving on, finding love, and eating well in the suburbs and beyond.
